I Have Arrived!

Yes, people!
It is TRUE!
I have arrived as a PUBLISHED AUTHOR!

In honor of the 1 year anniversary of my father's passing
(Don't cry for me...Argentina! Really!)
I'm soooo proud to share my 1st book signing experience...
as a PUBLISHED AUTHOR.

As of one year ago today I turned my hobby into my full-time PASSION! No more weekend warrior for me. I started really studying my craft, networking with other authors, and just all around trying to improve my writing. This also lead to helping other writers find their own path to writing/publishing success.

Mary Merrell and I at the start of our day!

And I must say...IT FEELS AMAZING!

On Saturday, September 15, 2012, I participated in the 3rd Annual Author Fair at the Stanislaus County Library to benefit The Children's Literacy Program (as a girl who couldn't read until the age of ten, there is no other organization that means more to me!).

Thankfully, I came packing wonderful writing friends!
(Author of the Valerie Dearborn Series, Urban Fantasy)
(Author of House Haunting and Curve Appeal, Paranormal Mystery)
(Author of Hyde, an Urban Fantasy and Second Bite, Paranormal Romance Urban Fantasy)

Top L to R: Mary Merrell & Christina McKnight
Bottom L to R: Caroline Hanson & Lauren Stewart
The day was very busy, made better by having my writing friends near and family and friends stopping by to support me.

My sister and I (Yes, she was Rainbow Brite!)
My sister, mom and I!
(Now you all see where I get my tall stature from, LOL)

Here are some other pictures from the signing:

Caroline Hanson & Lauren Stewart!
Mary Merrell!

Lauren Stewart & Christina McKnight!

Christina McKnight & Mary Merrell!
Me signing books!

Another picture of our table! Isn't it pretty...in a UF sort of way?

Most exciting part of the day...a Moderator from Goodreads came to cheer us on!

So...we all grabbed our books
and held her hostage until this picture was taken :-)

Now, I mentioned earlier in my post 'Don't cry for me' and I meant it! If not for the tragedy of a year ago I would not be where I am today!

While my mom has always pushed me to tell my stories, it was finally my dad who taught me life is too short to wait for your dreams to find you!

I beg of everyone who reads this post to go out and find your own dream!
Only you can make it happen.

In short...I now FEEL I have arrived as a Published Author!

These were awesome pictures, and what an inspiring post. I will be snatching ONLY IN HER DREAMS up the moment it hits eBook format. Can't wait!
