My novel is making its way through my betas and I am left with little to occupy my time. I'm hesitant to start a new project before my novel, Only In Her Dreams, is off to the editor.
I'm working with an amazing cover artist.
Here are a few of the designs I am looking at. I will post my final design selection as soon as I receive it back from Dara.
Option #1
Option #2
Option #3
Option #4
My final cover will be a combination of these four covers.
On another note...it has been several months since my last post and I want to catch every one up on what's been going on.
The day of my last post (about 20 minutes after my post went live) I got a call that my father had been in a motorcycle accident the day before and was in critical condition. Unfortunately, he was unable to overcome his internal injuries and passed away the next day. The good part was that he was surrounded by his family and close friends at the time. I miss him every day.
My brothers, sister and I have been hard at work completing the renovations he started at his home in La Grange, CA. This takes up a lot of time but I am very thankful to be spending so much time with my siblings.
In November I started writing Only In Her Dreams, the novel was completed in mid-December. Overall, the feedback from the betas is positive. I hope to start sending out query letters to agents by November of this year. I am very excited.
Haleigh (age 5) has adjusted well to school and is excelling in all areas of learning. She is developing a love of reading (just like her mom!). Recently, I started a girl scout troop for Haleigh and her friends (with the help of my friends, Melissa and Renee). I look forward to giving Haleigh the experiences that I had as a child.
I will post my final cover design soon and a link to Dara's website.

I'm partial to the green one, though maybe with the city background. Somehow it seems to fit your story better, though I did only read the beginning of it ;)
ReplyDeleteUrban fantasy, you say? So the paranormal romance genre is only reserved for vampires, werewolves, and zombies? Sheesh ;)
